Canoe, Kayak, and Equipment Rentals

Becker's Lodge Bowron Lake Adventures Resort holds the largest canoe fleet in northern British Columbia with over 160 canoes and kayaks of different brands, models, lengths and materials. If you're planning to canoe or kayak the Bowron Lakes, let the team at the lodge's Paddle Shack help you choose a boat that suits your personal needs and is best for your level of paddling experience. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced paddler, we can guarantee we'll have the right canoe or kayak for you.

We have a great selection of top quality canoeing, kayaking, and camping equipment available for rent. For portaging, choose from several different styles of canoe and kayak carts - fixed wheel, foldable, or heavy duty carts. We rent tents, sleeping bags and foam pads, cooking sets, camp stoves, containers (barrels) and buckets, waterproof bags, throw bags, axes, and tire repair kits. Not sure when you'll be starting your canoe trip? Reservations are recommended but not necessary. We have lots of boats for hire. Just drop in at Becker's Lodge when you arrive at Bowron Lake. We'll help you find the right boat for your BC wildnerness adventure.

Damage/Dirty/Lost Policy

All rental items, including boats, must be cleaned. If rental equipment is returned in damaged or dirty condition, the renter will be responsible for cleaning and repair costs. Shop rate of $35 per hour will be invoiced with a $20 minimum charge plus any parts or materials for cleaning or repair. Replacement cost for lost, stolen or destroyed rental equipment, including canoes and kayaks, is at full retail value.

Payments and Taxes

In Canada, all prices shown are without taxes. There are several taxes: GST (Goods and Services Tax) at 5%, PST (Provincial Sales Tax) at 7%, Hotel Tax (on accommodations) 8%, Liquor Tax 10%. Always add the tax, generally about 15%, to any price shown. For example, if you see something for $10.00, expect to pay about $11.50 after the taxes are calculated.

We accept Visa and Mastercard at our reservations office. At the lodge, store, and restaurant, you may pay with Visa, Mastercard, or cash.
